For sessions focussing on Vision & Values we have developed a unique intervention that we call "BRAND NEW". This is a very powerful and creative piece of work which explores and re-enforces team values and helps a team discuss, agree and adopt a set of visions and values that will define the way it behaves going forward. It is a session that can run for anywhere between 2 hours and a whole day and is both powerful and great fun.
Developed originally as a simple, 6 step branding process for FMCG* products (*fast moving consumer goods) the Brand New Challenge takes a team and encourages them to create a Brand for themselves. In doing this we facilitate them through the 6 step process in which they define who they are, what they do, what they want to be known for, what they think they stand for, how they want to be communicated with, what their mission statement should be, what their values are, what it is like for their clients to work with them, what they want to deliver to the customers etc….as well as considering what they would like all these things to be like in the future.
Having discussed, presented and captured key ideas that will impact on how the teams work with each other and their customers they will also be tasked with producing Mood Boards to represent the creative and emotional side, the left brain side of the equation. In other words what does the teams’ brand look and feel like.
In creating the Team Brand they will ostensibly be creating or seeking to achieve consensus on mission, vision and values.
As a fun part of this exercise we often start with a game called Mission Impossible. In this we look at a varied selection of mission statements and have a fun look at what they actually mean and whether or not the company to which they belong is even discernable from their stated mission statement
