CATWALK CHALLENGE

The Catwalk Challenge is an activity where passion and Prada collide. Teams are briefed that they have just taken over a new fashion house and must create new, world-beating designs to take the Paris, Milan, New York and London fashion worlds by storm.

Working from a veritable treasure chest of materials, swatches, feathers, beads, jewellery, lace, braid etc each team must design and create a collection. The catch is that there are no catches (literally). Nothing can be sewn so it must be twisted, knotted, faked, pinned and tucked.

As well as finding at least two team members to actually model the collection on the catwalk (min 1 male / 1 female) the team must also plan the choreography, the lighting, the music, the backdrop images, the hair, the make up and lets not forget producing the outfits!.

Collections can be themed – often to company products, aspects of the development agenda etc.

For the finale – The teams put on a full blown Catwalk show to rival Paris, Milan, London and New York’s finest.
